A website from angryrectangle.com comes to you from a team of two people. Myself, the designer, and Josh the master coder. We make a very good team when it comes to websites... I make it look good, he makes it work, and gives it all sort of cool features.
I know you still have many more questions about how we work, so you're questions can be answered below!
How much does it cost?
Are you looking for a complete website, or something specific?
For a complete website, we have a flat rate of $1000 initial design, creation and coding of a finished functional and beautiful website. Inputting of end-user content such as photographs or products in an online store, or managing the website beyond completion of finished product would be additional.
If you're looking for graphic design only (including ads, headers, and more - but excluding any coding) you are looking at about a $100 flat rate, and the work will be done by Anya only.
If you've got the design ready and are looking for a simple website including html and css (but excluding javascript, serverside scripts, or databasing of any kind) ask us about a special price.
If you've got a few mix and match items - or are still confused, no worries. Costs can still vary, and it's always best to contact us about any and all inquiries to get an exact quote.
We're very sympathetic to being poor and wanting an awesome website. We also offer discounts to non-profit groups and overlanders!
How do I know you'll design something I like?
We will work 100% to our best efforts to create something as close to the description and information as you give us. I have been working with website design a very long time, and have done alot of custom design work. We're more than happy to work with specific details, or get creative with it. It's up to you, completely. If you'd like to see some examples of our work, check out the portfolio.
What kind of features can you put on my website?
Josh can put just about any feature you'd like on a website. He's very familiar with php, mysql databasing, javascript, and he can put it all together for a beautiful site or website application. He knows the dos and don'ts of photography websites. He can customize search features for you, set-up a secure online store, or write blogging software just for you. The sky is the limit!
Why should I hire you guys to make a site for me?
First off -- We're good at it, you'll get an excellent product, and you'll love working with us. Josh and I are nice, honest people. Really! We actually enjoy making websites, and have a lot of fun working on them.
Second, the money you give us to make a website is going to go to something awesome. We won't be using it to buy more latt? at Starbucks, or for paying off our brand new Mercedes (not that those aren't good things to do with your money) but rather towards awesome projects and plans we've both got on the go. Currently we live in a truck in South America, we drove here from Canada, and if you don't hire us we won't get home (specifically, we need new tires). When we get home Josh needs money to buy a bus to live in because he has no house, and Anya's going to start a zine and plan her next expedition... maybe through Eastern Europe and Russia?
For all you ethical eaters and shoppers, you can feel good knowing that we are too. We both live low impact and low consumption lifestyles, and try to buy as much organic, fair trade, recycled, or sourced from a renewable resource products as we can. In fact, we're about to install a veggie oil kit on our car meaning we can run our diesel truck/home with very little harmful emissions!
